Batter & Berries

Introducing a new blog segment, My Chicago. My Chicago will highlight some of the best restaurants, nightlife, events and much more from my hometown of Chicago. If you are a traveler or a Chicago native this section is sure to peek your interest.
                                                          First Stop, Batter and Berries.

Being that today is Sunday and most people are likely to seek a hearty brunch today, whether it is post church or a hangover necessity. So the very first stop on the My Chicago train is the wildly popular Batter and Berries.

The food at this establishment is to die for. Its not just the uniquely paired menu option or the beautiful presentation of the plates but its also the down home feel of the service and the ambiance that keeps customers coming back.
Shrimp, egg white omelet
steak and portobello omelet

Batter and Berries is known for there french toast and believe you me, it is so good that it didn't dawn on me to take a picture until after I finished the plate. The staff is friendly and inviting, the food is unique and often limited edition so be sure to try them ASAP. Beware the wait time is longer on weekends but it is completely worth it. Its cafe vibe with its four star menu and affordable pricing will surely have you coming back.
